Celebrating Design at the Arte Showroom
Loved being part of the Interior Design Business Podcast at the Arte showroom in Chelsea Harbour Design Centre last week. The team are always such a joy to be around, and the showroom was—as ever—filled with the most inspiring new wallcoverings. They truly create some of my favourites in the industry.
We were welcomed with delicious champagne and canapés as we all talked design. It was such a special evening — thank you Siobhan and Lucy at Arte.
The podcast was hosted by the wonderful Susie Rumbold, Past President of the British Institute of Interior Design and Creative Director at Tessuto Interiors, and Jeff Hayward from Wildwood Plus.
Susie and Jeff were joined by an incredible panel of renowned designers:
• Charu Gandhi – Elicyon
• Franky Rousell – Jolie Studio
• Laura Hammett – Laura Hammett Interiors
It was a lively and insightful discussion:
“What They Don’t Teach You at Design School!”
I can’t wait to share the episode when it goes live — or follow them to be notified as soon as it’s out.
All of this followed a productive afternoon working on a sitting room and office design for a client in the nearby showrooms. I’ve selected beautiful fabrics from Christopher Farr and Colefax and Fowler, trims from Houlès and Samuel & Sons, and upholstery options from Westbury, Colefax & Fowler, Chase Erwin, GP & J Baker, Kravet, and Marvic.
Current favourites: Christopher Farr fabrics, Samuel & Sons trims, and upholstery from Chase Erwin. Looking forward to our final meeting.
