About all things interiors…
The Language of Colour and Interiors
Hello and welcome — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m starting this Substack to share my world of interiors, textiles, and colour — a place where creativity, craft, and design come together. Here you’ll find stories, how-tos, and inspiration drawn from my work and my ongoing fascination with how we shape the spaces around us.
Over time, I’ll be sharing:
How to make a textile repeat design
How to make a lampshade
How to choose colours you truly love
How to select interior textiles
Events, exhibitions, and inspirations from my creative journeys
My hope is that these posts not only inform but also inspire you to bring more creativity, pattern, and colour into your everyday life and home.
About Me
My day job is a Textile & Colour Designer | Artist | Collaborator.
I work with architectural firms and interior textile brands — developing colour palettes and designing bespoke interior pieces such as rugs, textiles, and wallcoverings.
With deep knowledge across all areas of interiors — from window treatments and curtain textiles to upholstery fabrics — I bring both clarity and creativity to each project. Every collaboration begins with an exploration of colour, which is truly the foundation of everything I do.
The Language of Colour
Colour is a language I never tire of studying — found in both nature and the built environment. When beginning a new architectural project, I often look first to the surrounding landscape. For interior collections, I turn to my colour diaries: a daily ritual of sketching and documenting the ever-changing colour mixes of the seasons.
This constant observation fuels my work and like the seasons it shifts, surprises, and always tells a story.
Artistic Practice
Alongside my design practice, I am an artist and printmaker, specialising in Mokulito printing — a beautiful technique that combines drawing and wood printing. Each print begins as a carved or drawn image on a wood plate, developed through layers of ink and texture. I also paint in oils on canvas and wood, continuing my exploration of texture, mark-making, and colour.
Looking Ahead
Through this space, I hope to share not just my work, but also a way of seeing — how colour, pattern, and texture can transform how we feel in our surroundings.
Thank you for joining me at the beginning of this creative journey. I can’t wait to see where it leads — and to share the beauty and stories of design, art, and interiors with you.
